We buy 0.925 Sterling Silver and melt it, Then cast it into bar form. (We do not smelt the silver in order to get the silver to pure .999). Items such as mis-matched, tarnished, bent, dented or broken spoons, forks, bowls, cups—just about anything made of 0.925/Sterling.
In most knives that are marked Sterling, only the handles are Sterling, and the blades are usually stainless steel. There are approximately 25 grams of silver in the handle.
For example, if you send us 10 oz., we will melt, cast and return 8.8 oz. to you.
For a fee of 12% of what you send us, we will melt, cast and polish your scrap silver into .925 Sterling bars weighing from 2.5ozt to 30ozt. They will be clearly stamped 0.925 Sterling, with the weight, the Walker Silver logo and the year cast.
These bars are easy to store or sell should you ever want to. You pay the shipping to get the silver to us and we will pay the return shipping (USPS Priority Mail) with a turnaround time of about 14 days after we receive your silver.
